About the Artist

Born in 1971 in Olinda, Brazil, Andre Nobrega is a self-taught artist consumed with a passion for plein air painting. He believes there is no better teacher than Mother Nature and early impressionist artists such as John Sisley, Camille Pissarro and Claude Monet inspire him. Andre himself can often be found outside with his paints and easel, working to create his interpretations of the world around. All of his paintings are infused with light, color and fluidity and seek to recreate a moment in time. Throughout the years, Andre has been featured in numerous publications, participated in competitions and attained membership in artist associations in both his country and the United States. His work can be found in private and corporate collections around the world. Andre currently lives and paints in the San Francisco Bay area.
